Electrical Engineering Instructor (Adult Education – Installation Electrician Federal VET Diploma) / Dozent/in Elektrotechnik (Erwachsenenbildung – Montage-Elektriker/in EFZ)

ECAP Zurich is looking for a qualified instructor to teach electrical engineering in the course "Installation Electrician Federal VET Diploma (Adult Education)".

The course is aimed at adults with experience in the electrical sector who wish to obtain a federally recognized professional qualification. The training is based on the Ordinance of 27 April 2015 (412.101.220.47) and Article 33 of the Federal Act on Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPETA).
The program lasts 20 months and comprises 600 lessons, distributed over three days per week: Monday and Wednesday evenings (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM) and Saturday mornings (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM). Objective: to prepare participants for the final examination to obtain the Federal VET Diploma as an installation electrician.

Area of responsibility

  • Teaching electrical engineering according to the training plan
  • Preparing students for the final Federal VET Diploma examination
  • Development and updating of teaching materials
  • Collaboration with the ECAP teaching team and participation in coordination meetings

Requirements

  • Technical training in electrical engineering (Federal VET Diploma, advanced federal diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent)
  • Professional experience in the electrical sector
  • Teaching experience, preferably with adults
  • FSEA 1 certificate (or willingness to obtain it)
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with digital tools for teaching
  • Interest in digitalization and ability to integrate technologies into the training process
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Aptitude for teamwork and intercultural sensitivity
