Childcare

In our regional centers, we offer professional childcare during lesson times to complement many of our courses. This enables parents to take part in educational programmes while their children are looked after in a safe and stimulating environment.

At our regional centers in Aargau, Basel, Bern, Solothurn, Winterthur, Central Switzerland and Zurich, your child will be looked after by qualified child care staff.

In Basel and Lucerne, we run our own day-care centers with integrated early language support for pre-school children. At these centers, children are not only looked after but also given targeted support in their linguistic and social development. In the other regional centers, we offer childcare during course times. This allows parents to take part in our educational programmes whilst their children are looked after in a safe and supervised environment.

ECAP Basel runs the Kindertraumhüüsli daycare center. Here, children aged from three months until they start school are looked after in a mixed-age group with a total of 16 full-time places.

The team works in accordance with current socio-educational principles, and the staff are trained in language development. The nursery offers early language support for pre-school children. The carers support the children in their activities and specifically encourage their language development. Singing, painting, dancing, marvelling, listening, asking questions, listening to stories and exploring – there’s room for all of this here. If you’re interested, please write to tagi-kth@ecap.ch

ECAP Central Switzerland runs the GIROTONDO child care center in Lucerne. The programme is aimed at children aged between two and the start of nursery school. In a stimulating and supportive environment, the children experience diversity and heterogeneity – both within the neighbourhood and amongst the families of the programme participants. Early language learning is also a key focus here.
The GIROTONDO nursery was run as a playgroup until November 2023 and now complies with the City of Lucerne’s quality guidelines. The cultural diversity of the families and staff is a particularly defining feature.
