Our projects
Through various projects, ECAP supports migrants in integrating into Swiss society and participating actively in community life. Gender equality is a key priority in this context.
AVANTI!
AVANTI! is an educational programme for teenagers and young adults designed to prepare them for entry into upper secondary education – for example, a vocational preparation year or an integration pre-apprenticeship. The programme focuses on the targeted development, expansion and consolidation of key competences in line with Curriculum 21 in the areas of language, general knowledge, mathematics, media and IT.
ict@migrants
ict@migrants is a programme for qualified migrant women with IT skills and higher education who wish to enter the ICT sector. The programme helps participants to make targeted use of their professional skills and successfully establish themselves in the Swiss labour market.
job@migrants
job@migrants supports well-qualified refugee women in entering the Swiss labour market. Together, we develop a realistic career plan, building on your existing qualifications, experience and strengths. You will receive targeted support in assessing your current situation, career guidance and the next steps towards entering the labour market.
Sprechen-Sie-Deutsch?
«Sprechen Sie Deutsch?» offers German language courses with childcare to support the linguistic integration of migrants; these are supported by the Cantonal Integration Programme of the Canton of Zurich and the City of Zurich’s Integration Support Programme.
Skills4Züri
Skills4Züri is a full-day programme for unaccompanied minors who are seeking asylum in Switzerland and are no longer of school age. The programme lays the foundations for the young people’s social, educational and vocational integration. Participants prepare for the transition to an educational programme at the IAZH or develop a suitable next-step solution.
Orienta
In the Orienta project, ECAP – with the support of the Federal Office for Gender Equality – has developed teaching materials on gender equality for migrants. Orienta promotes engagement with gender equality and strengthens the integration of migrant women. The materials encourage discussion and reflection.
