Offers for refugees

People in flight need prospects. ECAP has been supporting refugees for many years with educational and integration programmes on their way to a new life in Switzerland.

On this page, you will find an overview of all educational programmes that are also open to people with S status. Where necessary, ECAP supports local authorities, cantons, associations and charities in organising additional courses at various locations. For specific questions and support regarding refugees from Ukraine, please contact us at: ukraine@ecap.ch

Independent of their background, we help people to integrate quickly into society and the world of work. We teach them the necessary skills – whether local language skills or vocational qualifications – so that they can live here freely and independently. By helping them acquire skills that facilitate communication between people of different languages and cultures, we promote a culture of peace, solidarity and social cohesion.

The crisis in Ukraine has drawn the attention of many institutions, organisations and individuals to the integration of refugees. Many people are contacting us with questions: How and where can refugees learn the local language? Which courses are available to them, and under what conditions?
We are firmly convinced that learning the local language and integrating quickly into Swiss society and the labour market are most successfully achieved when refugees take part together in professionally organised courses that are tailored to their individual language and educational skills.

The State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) also provides questions and answers for refugees from Ukraine in various languages. There you will find up-to-date information on topics such as protection status S, residence, employment, social assistance, and life in Switzerland.

Asylum seekers can also use the Path2Work job portal. It offers easy access to job vacancies and provides support in the form of career advice, language tests and help with job applications. Path2Work is not currently available to the public. At present, it can only be used by people who have received a personal invitation as part of an ETH research project.
