Contents
Academic content: Literacy and German – Mathematics – ICT – General education – Health prevention

Learning workshop: On two afternoons per week, participants deepen their knowledge of the school material individually and are supported and encouraged in their learning process.

Cultural and sporting activities: Outside of class hours, participants take part in cultural, creative, and leisure activities.

Project weeks: Based on the experiences they have gained during extracurricular activities, their curiosity, and interests, participants choose topics to which they devote themselves intensively and interdisciplinarily for one week.
Goals
Participants can build and expand their reading and writing techniques, their oral language (action) skills, and their German language skills at level A1/A2 in everyday life; they possess basic skills in the areas of
everyday mathematics and ICT, basic information about life in Switzerland, the canton, and the city of Zurich, and acquire socio-cultural and integration-relevant skills.

Further Information

The offer is aimed at unaccompanied and accompanied minors and young adults up to the age of 20 who are applying for asylum in Switzerland and are no longer of school age. They have no or only rudimentary knowledge of the Latin alphabet and have little to no knowledge of German. The educational program creates the basis for the social, academic, and professional integration of the young people. Participants prepare for a transition to an IAZH educational program.

Participants must attend an assessment event to determine whether S4Z is indeed the appropriate training offer for their needs.
