Intensive German in Zurich

Would you like to learn German during the day and choose the pace of learning that suits your situation? Our daytime courses are aimed at adults who wish to improve their German specifically for everyday life, work and integration.

You will practise all the key language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will expand your vocabulary, improve your grammar and gain greater confidence in everyday life in Switzerland.
Choose between intensive study with daily lessons or a more flexible course format with lessons three days a week.

If you attend the course regularly, you will receive a course certificate. After completing a level, you can sit a recognised exam (subject to a fee), such as telc or fide. Childcare is available during course hours.

Would you like to learn German quickly and effectively? The intensive course takes place daily and enables you to make rapid progress in a short space of time. In each module, participants consolidate their language skills and practise typical situations from everyday life and the workplace. The focus is on practical communication and feeling confident in everyday situations.

Duration and learning progression: 6 weeks (120 lessons) for half a CEFR level.

Would you like to learn German whilst still having enough time for work, family or other activities? The daytime semi-intensive course combines regular study with a flexible timetable.
Lessons take place three times a week. This enables participants to make steady progress and maintain a regular rhythm of learning. All key language skills are practised, as well as practical communication situations for everyday life and work.

Duration and learning progression: 10 weeks (120 lessons) for half a CEFR level.

Would you like to learn German intensively whilst progressing at a slightly more relaxed tempo? The Basic Course is suitable for adults who wish to build up their language skills step by step whilst also learning important information about life in Switzerland. The course is held daily. In each module, you will deepen your language skills and practise all the key areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You’ll also learn more about healthcare, social security, public authorities, the job market and life in Zurich and your local neighbourhood. The focus is on practical application and finding your way around everyday life.

Duration and learning progression: 6 weeks (120 lessons) per module, three modules per CEFR level.
