Literacy courses in Winterthur

Our literacy courses offer adults who speak a foreign language the opportunity to learn to read and write, or to build on their basic skills in a targeted way.

Participants acquire or develop their reading and writing skills in four different levels. They learn the Latin alphabet and numbers, develop their phonological awareness and build up their spoken German skills for everyday life. At the same time, they strengthen their independence, develop learning strategies and learn to use their language skills effectively.

Registration only becomes binding after the free placement test. We then assign participants to the appropriate course level to ensure they can learn as effectively as possible.

Course fees: Per module (120 lessons of 45 minutes each): CHF 1’640.–

The course is free of charge for private persons residing in the Canton of Zurich. It is funded by the Office for Secondary Education and Vocational Training of the Canton of Zurich. We would be happy to provide you with further information in person and look forward to hearing from you.

Childcare is also available during course hours.
