ECAP Winterthur offers practical courses in reading and writing, language, maths and digital skills.

Our courses are aimed at adults who wish to strengthen their basic skills and gain greater confidence in their everyday and professional lives. All courses are designed to reflect real-life situations, are easy to understand and can be put into practice straight away. They will help you to,

Our courses

In this course, you will learn to better understand official letters and documents and to communicate independently with public authorities. You will practise identifying key information, understanding legal content and responding appropriately to official correspondence. The aim is to gain greater confidence in dealing with public authorities and to formulate your own requests clearly.

This course will help you improve your writing skills. You will learn to write everyday and professional texts clearly and correctly, and to distinguish between formal and informal communication. This will help you feel more confident when writing.

Here, you will acquire basic digital skills for using a smartphone. You will learn how to use apps, navigate the internet, find information, fill in online forms and organise appointments. The aim is to enable you to use your smartphone confidently and independently.

In this course, you will learn the basics of using a computer. You will practise using programmes, creating and formatting text, and saving and organising documents. This will help you feel more confident using a PC.

This course offers a simple introduction to artificial intelligence. You’ll learn what AI is, how it works and how you can use it in your everyday life – for example, when writing, translating or organising tasks.

This course prepares you for the language requirements of the care sector. You will learn how to communicate with patients, give and understand instructions, and respond confidently to questions. This will help you feel more confident in your day-to-day work.

Here, you will acquire basic language and numeracy skills relevant to the cleaning sector. You will learn to understand work plans and documents, complete forms correctly and communicate clearly with your superiors. Childcare is provided during the course.

In this course, you will learn how to apply for jobs online successfully. You will search for jobs online, create profiles and go through the application process independently. You will also practise taking part in video calls with confidence and organising your emails.

This course will teach you basic financial skills. You will learn how to draw up a budget, plan your income and expenditure, and handle numbers confidently in everyday life. This will help you gain more control over your finances.
