Intensive German in Bern

Our intensive German courses in Bern and Biel are ideal for people who want to learn German quickly and effectively – for everyday life, work or further education.

Depending on the level, the focus is on different objectives: from social integration and employability to preparation for vocational training. The courses cover levels A1 to B1 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). They take place four times a week (Tuesday to Friday), either in the morning or in the afternoon. For levels A1 and A2, two modules are usually required; for B1, three.

Before the course begins, you will be placed in the appropriate level following a free placement test. Once you have completed a course level, you can sit a fide test.

In Bern, childcare is also available for pre-school children at the kidogo nursery (registration required when booking the course).

In class, you will practise all the key language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will expand your vocabulary, consolidate your grammar and learn to communicate confidently and independently in both your professional and private life in Switzerland. Thanks to the intensive pace of learning, you will make rapid progress.

A module comprises 96 lessons and lasts 8 weeks (3 lessons per day)

During the lessons, you will practise all the key language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will expand your vocabulary and consolidate your knowledge of grammar step by step. This leaves enough time for practising, revising and consolidating what you have learnt.
