Literacy courses in Central Switzerland

The courses are aimed at people who have little or no previous experience with writing. People who have already learnt another writing system and would now like to learn the Latin alphabet are also welcome.

Participants learn key basic skills across three consecutive levels. These range from recognising and matching sounds and letters, through reading and writing individual words and simple sentences, to understanding and writing short everyday texts. As well as reading and writing, we also specifically focus on speaking and comprehension in everyday situations. Particular emphasis is placed on clear pronunciation and simple phrases that build confidence in everyday conversations. Participants learn in a calm, respectful and supportive atmosphere, with the focus on their individual learning pace.
