Course Lead for Mathematics for Integration Courses for Late-Immigrating Refugees (16–25)

Since August 2026, on behalf of the Migration Office of the Canton of Aargau, ECAP Aargau has been delivering the Integration Courses for Late-Immigrating Refugees (16–25) programme.

Course Leads for Mathematics

The programme
The main content focuses on developing basic skills in German at CEFR level A1, mathematics and ICT to prepare for direct entry into the canton’s bridging programmes, labour market integration programmes for late immigrants, or to prepare for later entry into a pre-apprenticeship integration programme. Participants are also supported in engaging with the requirements of the education and working world while strengthening and further developing their educational potential.

The programme comprises 2 modules and 1 supervised learning space.
Module 1: 24 weeks at 26 lessons/week
Module 2: 12 weeks at 26 lessons/week
Supervised learning space after Module 1 or 2 as needed
Weekly timetable: 16 lessons German as a second language (DaZ), 6 lessons mathematics, 2 lessons ICT and 2 lessons education and work

Area of responsibility

Your main responsibilities as Course Lead:
  • Preparing, delivering and evaluating the programme in accordance with the concept and curricula
  • Advising participants and holding one-to-one meetings
  • Preparing participant reports
  • Participation in continuing professional development
  • Administrative tasks and participation in meetings

Requirements

Your profile
  • At least two years’ teaching experience in a comparable subject area
  • German as a native language or a C2 certificate in German
  • Interest in working with young people from other cultures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, reliability, flexibility and commitment
  • SVEB Certificate Level 1 with a subject qualification in mathematics, or a teaching diploma recognised by the EDK for primary or lower secondary level I/KK in mathematics
