Procedure
4 weeks after the examination, you will receive the language passport directly from the fide Bern office, which certifies your language proficiency, provided your correspondence address is correct. Over Christmas/New Year, you will receive the language passport approx. 6 weeks after the examination. The fide test is recognized by the federal government and cantons as proof of language proficiency. You can repeat or update the fide test as often as you wish if you have achieved a higher language level.
Do you already have a recognized certificate or language skills at B1 or higher and can you prove it? Then there is the possibility to acquire a language passport with the entry B1 (oral and written) via the B1 validation dossier.
