Goals
With the fide test, you can prove your oral and written language skills at levels A1, A2, and B1 according to the CEFR.
Procedure
4 weeks after the exam, you will receive the language passport directly from the fide Bern office, which certifies your language proficiency, provided your correspondence address is correct. Over Christmas/New Year, you will receive the language passport approximately 6 weeks after the exam. The fide test is recognized by the federal government and cantons as proof of language proficiency. You can repeat or update the fide test as often as you wish if you have achieved a higher language level.
Do you already have a recognized certificate or language skills at B1 or higher and can you prove this? Then there is the possibility to obtain a language passport with the entry B1 (oral and written) via the B1 validation dossier.
