Course information

Contents
The German lessons are thematically based on the participants’ learning needs. They focus on everyday topics and provide information about life in Switzerland.
Goals
The aim of the extensive course is to improve communicative language skills in everyday life and at work through level-appropriate, everyday-oriented development of the four skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading. Vocabulary training and application-oriented grammar sequences embedded in communicative tasks round off the learning programme.

Learning progression: There are a total of three modules per language level; in a 13-week course, one module is completed. This means that to complete the entire B1, B2 or C1 level, a participant needs 39 weeks.
Procedure
After registration, you will be invited to the mandatory placement test.

German as a Second Language Instructor

Up to 10 calendar days before the course starts. If places are available, it is possible to join after the course has started up to the third week of the course.

Cancellation must be made in writing.
Withdrawal from registration is possible free of charge up to 7 days before the course starts. After that, we charge an administrative fee of CHF 50.
In the event of withdrawal during the first 7 days, one quarter of the course costs must be paid in addition to the administrative fee. From the second week of the course, the full course costs must be paid. If the reasons for withdrawal lie with ECAP, participants will not incur any costs.
