fide test

All persons aged 16 and over who wish to prove their language proficiency in the national language, German.

People with disabilities can also take the fide test. Special rules apply to them, which are agreed upon together with the testing institution and the fide office.

Upon successful completion of the entire examination, you will receive a certificate.

Advisory & Administration on the ground floor

The exact examination times will be sent to you along with the written invitation approximately 10 days before the examination date. The invitation letter contains all important information regarding your examination, in particular the date, time, and location.

We recommend early registration, as the number of places per date is limited.

In the event of withdrawal of registration up to 20 calendar days before the date, a processing fee of CHF 70.00 will be charged. In the event of withdrawal at a later date or non-attendance, the entire fee becomes due for payment.
