Course information

Contents
German language instruction is thematically based on the learning needs of the participants and promotes the four language skills. It focuses on everyday relevant topics and provides information about life in Switzerland and the region. German language promotion includes building and expanding vocabulary, grammar fundamentals, listening and reading comprehension, dialogues, and writing short texts. The focus at all course levels is on oral language acquisition (understanding/speaking). However, with increasing language proficiency, written expression and correct language application also gain importance. In addition, basic skills in everyday mathematics, ICT, and learning techniques are taught.
Goals
Development and promotion of German language skills in the four linguistic competencies: listening comprehension, reading, speaking, and writing, including integration-relevant topics and preparation for entry into the world of work or education.

After 3 course modules, a CEFR level is completed, and a fide exam can be taken.
Procedure
Once you have registered, the ECAP Winterthur secretariat will contact you to clarify any open questions.
Costs
CHF 1,475.-
Childcare CHF 1,400.- per child.

Further Information

Adults and, if applicable, young people aged 16 and over who have not lived in Switzerland for long, are familiar with the Latin alphabet, but have no or only limited German language skills.

The courses are organized with childcare for children up to kindergarten entry.

Participants must be willing to learn independently outside of the course to support the learning process.

German language promotion is based on the fields of action and scenario-based teaching according to fide, and on the needs of the participants, incorporating their own resources. A textbook serves as a guide.

Before registration, a free placement test is offered on-site so that the person can be assigned to the appropriate course.

All participants who attend regularly (at least 80%) will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course. Depending on their language level, a fide language certificate or a telc exam can also be taken.

The room will be communicated to you via SMS.
