Contents
You will learn German for everyday life and work. In class, you will practice listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The lessons are varied and geared towards your needs.
Goals
Would you like to learn German at levels A1, A2, and B1 and do you live in the city of Winterthur? This course helps you communicate better in everyday life and makes it easier to use the services offered by the city of Winterthur.
Procedure
The course consists of 5 lessons per week. A CEFR level can be achieved in 2 modules.

It is possible to join after the course has started. Please enquire at Advice & Administration.

Before registering for the first time, you will take a free placement test. This helps you find the right course.
Costs
German course: CHF 490.–
Childcare: CHF 108.– per child

With a KulturLegi, a refund from the city of Winterthur is possible under certain conditions.

Requirements:
• Residence in the city of Winterthur
• Valid KulturLegi
• No receipt of social assistance, AHV, IV, or EL
• German course A1 to A2
• At least 80% attendance

A maximum of 100 lessons at CHF 2.– each will be refunded.

The course is aimed at residents of the city of Winterthur who wish to learn German.

Childcare is available for children until they start school. Children are professionally cared for during the course. Children must be registered before the course begins.

A free placement test is required.

The teaching is participant- and goal-oriented.

The course room will be communicated to you via SMS on the Friday before the course starts.

The lessons are conducted by qualified and experienced instructors.

Withdrawal of registration from the course "German Course of the City of Winterthur" is possible free of charge up to 7 calendar days before the start of the course. If the course conditions (course times and level) were not yet known at the time of registration, the registration can be withdrawn free of charge until they are announced.
For a cancellation after the free cancellation period has expired and up to the booked entry date, a processing fee of CHF 80 will be charged.
For withdrawal during the first 7 calendar days from the start, costs of CHF 200 will be incurred.
