TELC – German B1 Certificate Exam

Individuals who wish to take the B1 telc exam.

German language skills at B1 level (speaking, writing, reading, listening).

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive the certificate electronically via email. You will receive the certificate or the exam result approximately 4-6 weeks after the test.

ECAP and telc cannot provide any information about results by telephone.

If only one part of the exam is passed (written or oral), that part is valid for one year. During this time, the part that was not passed must be successfully completed for the exam to be considered complete.

To register, please print the registration form, fill it out completely, sign it, and send it back. The registration must be received by ECAP by the registration deadline. Registration is also possible in person at the ECAP secretariat until August 14, 2026.

We recommend familiarizing yourself with the test format before the exam and, if necessary, taking a model test.

Cancellation is free of charge up to the registration deadline. If you withdraw your registration at a later date or do not attend, the full exam fee must be paid. Exception: in the event of illness (with a valid medical certificate submitted within two days after the exam), an administrative fee of CHF 60.00 will be charged.
