TELC – Start Deutsch 1 exam

People who would like to take the A1 telc exam.

German language skills at level A1 (speaking, writing, reading, listening).

If you pass the exam successfully, you will receive the certificate electronically by email. You will receive the certificate or the exam result approximately 4–6 weeks after the test.

ECAP and telc cannot provide any information about results by telephone.

To register, please print out the registration form, complete it in full and sign it, then return it. Your registration must be received by ECAP by the registration deadline. Registration in person at the ECAP Secretariat is also possible until 14.08.2026.

We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the test format before the exam and, if necessary, take a model test.

Cancellation is free of charge up to the registration deadline. If you withdraw your registration at a later date or do not attend, the full exam fee must be paid. Exception: in the event of illness (with a valid medical certificate submitted within two days after the exam), an administrative fee of CHF 60.00 will be charged.
