Goals
Course outline:
• Become familiar with different registers of written language;
• Develop independence in writing different types of documents (letters, emails, mock exams, reports, CVs, argumentative texts, narrative texts);
• Improve spelling and syntax, as well as the coherence and cohesion of texts;
• Reduce the gap, very often encountered, between spoken skills and written skills.
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
• Understand texts written mainly in everyday language;
• Understand instructions written mainly in everyday language;
• Produce non-complex continuous texts on a range of familiar topics using appropriate connectors;
• Produce non-complex continuous texts on topics related to training and employment;
• Produce texts in a register that is generally appropriate to the situation and the recipient;
• Produce texts whose spelling, punctuation and layout are sufficiently accurate to be easily followed;
• Produce texts that express their opinion and justify it with a few examples.
