Contents
The course is structured in accordance with the CEFR descriptors for level B2 and focuses on developing autonomous and articulate linguistic competence, suitable for complex educational and professional contexts.
Specifically, the course allows participants to:
• expand and precisely use general and specific vocabulary (work, administrative, and educational contexts)
• understand articulate and complex written texts, both concrete and abstract
• improve conversation, fluency, and pronunciation accuracy
• understand extended oral interventions, conferences, presentations, and discussions, even when not strictly related to their field of specialization
• write formal and informal texts (professional emails, letters, short argumentative texts, reports)
• consolidate intermediate and advanced grammatical structures
• develop autonomous learning strategies and techniques
This module enables participants to achieve and consolidate the first part of level B2 (B2.1) according to the CEFR.
Goals
To consolidate and expand proficiency in the Italian language to participate actively, consciously, and autonomously in social, educational, and professional life in Switzerland, achieving a communicative competence at CEFR level B2.
The course integrates multidisciplinary topics related to basic skills in humanities and sciences, fostering the development of transversal skills such as critical analysis, information processing, and the conscious use of language in different contexts. Particular attention is dedicated to understanding, analyzing, and manipulating various textual genres (argumentative, expository, informative, regulatory) and to applying disciplinary skills in concrete and realistic situations.
The course can also serve as preparation for certification exams recognized by the Migration Office, such as the fide exams (State Secretariat for Migration) and the CELI certification from the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
