The training plan is divided into 5 modules:

1. Assessment of existing skills
2. Maintaining and improving the well-being of users in their homes
3. Observation of psycho-physical state and support, first aid (BLS)
4. Administration and care of the domestic environment
5. Managing one's professional role and developing reflection on one's actions

Accompanied professional activity (6 months) and 120-hour internship
Goals
The course prepares participants to take the exam for the Cantonal Diploma of Family Care Worker and is aimed at individuals who wish to perform their support work for vulnerable people in their homes more effectively. In addition to developing technical skills, the course will help participants integrate professionally into the home care network, communicate with family members and other stakeholders, and experience their role with greater awareness and less effort.
Costs
CHF 1,400.-- including teaching materials
(CHF 200.-- upon registration, then CHF 1,200.-- divided into installments)

To take the exam, an exam fee of CHF 300.-- must be paid directly to the Division of Vocational Education

Further Information

The course is intended for adults who work as family care workers (caregivers) at home and wish to certify their professional practice by preparing for the Diploma exam.

Have work experience as a family care worker (caregiver) in Switzerland or abroad, have a valid work permit, and a minimum B1 level in Italian.
