Course information

Contents
The fide-Test consists of two parts:
Oral examination (Speaking and Understanding)
Written examination (Reading and Writing)
Goals
With the fide-Test, you can prove your oral and written language skills at levels A1, A2, and B1 according to the CEFR.
Procedure
After registering, you will receive the official invitation letter with the exact time. The exam times are binding.

4 weeks after the exam, you will receive the Language Passport directly from the fide Bern office, which certifies your language proficiency, provided your correspondence address is correct. Over Christmas/New Year, you will receive the Language Passport approx. 6 weeks after the exam. The fide-Test is recognized by the federal government and cantons as proof of language proficiency. You can repeat or update the fide-Test as often as you wish if you have achieved a higher language level.

Do you already have a recognized certificate or language skills at B1 or higher and can you prove this? Then there is the possibility to acquire a Language Passport with the B1 entry (oral and written) via the B1 validation dossier.

You can find a model test and the regulations for participating in the fide-Test at www.fide-info.ch.
