The focus is on the communicative use of the language, including practising communication situations.

– Building and expanding vocabulary
– Pronunciation training
– Teaching and practising grammatical structures
– Information about everyday life and the world of work

Goals

The aim of the intensive course is to improve language skills for everyday life and work through level-appropriate support of the four skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading.

Learning progression:
– 2 modules of 6 weeks per language level for participants accustomed to schooling
– 3 modules of 6 weeks per language level for participants not accustomed to schooling

Procedure

After registration, you will be invited to the mandatory placement test.

CHF 1,475.00 incl. course materials

We will be happy to look after your young children in our daycare centre at Albulastrasse 47 until they start kindergarten while you learn German.

Further Information

Adults whose first language is not German who want to expand and improve their German skills and, if required, obtain a language certificate at level A2 or B1.

German as a Second Language Instructor

Up to 10 calendar days before the course starts. After that, enrollment is still possible if places are available.

Withdrawal of registration is possible free of charge up to 7 days before the course starts. After that, we charge an administrative fee of CHF 50. Cancellation must be submitted in writing.
In case of withdrawal during the first 7 days, one quarter of the course fees must be paid in addition to the administrative fee. From the second week of the course onward, the full course fees must be paid. If the reasons for withdrawal lie with ECAP, participants will incur no costs.
