Exams and certificates in Central Switzerland

Whether it’s the telc or fide test: at ECAP Central Switzerland, you can sit German language exams and officially demonstrate your language skills.

A certificate helps you in your job search and is often a prerequisite for a residence permit or naturalisation.

The fide test was developed by the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and is recognised throughout Switzerland.
ECAP Central Switzerland is an accredited examination centre for the fide test and offers it in German, the national language, at levels A1 to B1. The speaking and listening section can be taken at a different level to the reading and writing section. The results for both sections are reported separately. After the test, you will receive the Swiss Language Passport, which certifies your language skills.

ECAP Central Switzerland is an accredited telc examination centre. telc is an internationally recognised system of language examinations. The certificates are recognised by companies, public authorities and educational institutions. You can sit telc examinations at levels A1 to C1.
