Our Aargau regional office, with its sites in Aarau and Baden, moves education forward: over 170 dedicated employees work every day on a wide range of projects and courses to support the successful integration of young people and adults with a migrant background.
Our programmes combine modern teaching approaches with the real-life experiences of our participants. Whether it’s language support, basic skills or training programmes geared towards the labour market – we develop learning formats that are practical, personalised and relevant to everyday life. We create opportunities through education and promote active participation in social and professional life in Switzerland. With a great deal of commitment, experience and enthusiasm, we accompany people on their personal educational journey and support them in achieving their goals.

Literacy

Our literacy courses are aimed at young people and adults who speak a foreign language and have little or no ability to read and write – regardless of whether they are learning these skills for the first time or acquiring a second language.

Intensive German

You would like to study German intensively during the day and develop your language skills in a targeted way for everyday life, work and integration.

Semi-intensive German

You want to learn German during the day whilst still having enough time for work, family or other personal commitments.

German A1 Intensive Plus

You haven’t been living in German-speaking Switzerland for very long, want to learn German intensively and learn about opportunities for finding a job.

Extensive German

Extensive German courses are ideal for people who are learning German and wish to balance their studies with work, family or other personal commitments.

Sector-specific German

In our sector-specific German courses, you will develop your language skills in a targeted manner for your professional life.

Take the next step into the digital world! In this practical basic PC course, you’ll gain confidence in using computers, the internet and email, and expand your digital skills for everyday life and work.

Labour market measures

On behalf of AWA Aargau, we offer skills assessment courses for jobseekers to help them strengthen their job application skills and improve their opportunities on the labour market.
