Enrico Fermi: one secondary school - two languages

ECAP-led Enrico Fermi Secondary School is a bilingual school, which is part of the Italian-Swiss Polo Scolastico in Zurich and pursues the following educational goals:

  • Ensuring the educational success of all pupils
  • Strengthening bilingualism through bilingual teaching
  • Promoting integration in Swiss society and the local school system through targeted educational and vocational guidance.

The school is recognised by the Canton of Zurich's Education Department as an international bilingual school and complies with both the Swiss guidelines and those of the Italian Foreign Ministry. The school is not profit-oriented and is financed by parental contributions and support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lessons take place from Monday to Friday, from 7.50 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., as well as Mondays and Thursdays in the afternoon from 2.00 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. Voluntary activities are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 14.00 to 16.45 hours.
